2014 expanded reissue of the 1978 ninth solo album classic featuring a bonus 9 track live set, recorded during the album's tour (previously available only in Japan), which contains songs from Stealin' Home, as well as material from other solo releases & his previous band, Plainsong. Also includes a deluxe booklet with rare photos & copious notes, including a conversation with Iain & set co-producer Pat Thomas. Matthews rose to prominence as a vocalist for Fairport Convention in 1969. In 1971, he hit #1 in the UK with his band Matthews Southern Comfort & their cover of Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock." But, it was this album, (released during the time he had temporarily dropped the second "i" from his first name) that solidified his place in the ears and on the radios of America with the album's #13 single, "Shake It."
