She has won national and international competitions, including the All-Ireland Harp Championship in 1984. In addition to Shawna's own albums -- 'Foxglove' (1987), 'Amaryllis' (1991), 'The Versatile Celtic Harp' (1993), and 'Meditation' (2000) -- Shawna has also written soundtracks for film and documentaries, and has recorded with numerous artists. Her two books, Guilde to Advanced Celtic Harp and Selected Pieces for Harp and Flute, have found a national following in the harp world. ABOUT MEDITATION ---------------- Meditation grew out of sessions that Shawna played for guided meditations and sacred ceremonies. In the album, Shawna uses the harp as it might have been used a thousand years ago to relax the body and to entice the mind to wander. Swirls of delicate notes are balanced against long ringing tones, and a gentle ebb and flow of music supports a meditation without calling attention to iteslf. 'Within this music, as important as any note, is the breath between the notes wherein one may hear the pure ancient singing of the instrument itself.'

1.1 Joh Re
1.2 With a Breath
1.3 Goldenfield
1.4 Thousand Year Old Bell
