In songs like 'The New One Two' and 'Fly', Pete builds layer upon layer of heavy, rhythmic bass playing with beatboxing and haunting vocals and harmonies that build to a climax in a style that suggests Nine Inch Nails. "Stay Your Hand" is a reggae-influenced politically charged song with textures and a vocal style that suggest Peter Gabriel. "J-Lo with a Halo" is a bittersweet song with memorable overlapping layers of sweet melody that carry a lyric of haunting obsession. In a similar style, "Headlong" is a slow brooding song of welcome abandonment. "Good Day", is an African style vocal round backed by multiple interlocking drum parts recounting the joyful story of a Mother's return home. "Ghost" is a layered textural composition of Middle Eastern flavor with ethereal vocals and a hypnotic rhythm.
