Though Marc Infinite's (aka M.I.) business card reads 'CEO and Co-Founder of Lab City Inc.', he's really an artist at heart. And it's his talent for creating quality music that pushed this 28 year old Conway, South Carolina native from hustling in the streets to focusing his time, energy, and finances on his craft. Since the age of 12 M.I.'s lyrical talent has been a force to be reckoned with. Under his first alias, Marc The Ripper, M.I. has baffled audiences and left many mc's just that - 'Ripped'. Eventually this led him to believe that battling is for the birds especially when you're a strong songwriter. His music moves people to believe that they can be what they want to be, do what they want to do, floss how they want to floss and live how they want to live. His first single, Street Life Get Ya Caught Up, was released in 1997. In 1999 M.I. teamed up with a group of friends with similar interests and formed the rap group Alley Boyz (now known as Alley Ballaz) which consists of M.I., Whip, & The Dinna Thievez (Teezy, Soulja1, Hersh, & Wildfire). 'My biggest problem trying to 'get on' was always either having my money together and no music or having my music together and no money. When most people think of rap music in the south they tend to associate it with areas such as Atlanta, Miami, Memphis, New Orleans, and Houston. South Cak got some heat for y'all and I'm the one that's gonna bring it.', says M.I. In 2000 M.I. and fellow artist Whip founded Conway, South Carolina-based record label Lab City Inc. The first Lab City Inc. project was 'Alley Struggle' by the Alley Boyz and was released in 2000. The success of Alley Struggle proved to Marc that he could put himself in the rap game without having a record deal. M.I. has showcased on the Kathy Lee & Regis Show for 3 weeks in a row with fellow artist Mike Teflon in 2003. He has also performed at many major venues in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. Some of these are: Froggy Bottom's, Myrtle Beach Live, Club New York, The G-Spot, Club Warren's, Kryptonite, & Liquid City to name a few. He is also the voice of DJ Roc The Carolina Crunk King's Prime Time Radio Show Intro which airs from 6pm-10pm on KISS 98.5FM in Myrtle Beach. In addition to having a prime time slot at one of the local radio stations, M.I. also has two singles- 'Dope Boyz' & 'Mama'- both which are getting regular airplay in Florence/ Columbia, SC and Wilmington, NC. The release of M.I.'s debut solo album, Face Monopoly, marked the end of a long journey through trying times and the beginning of an even longer journey of excellence. With singles like 'Dope Boyz' which features Gucci Mane and Whip, and the versatility of tracks like 'Stay On The Grind' and 'Only If' which both feature R&B artist Jon-Beezi, one could only conclude that Marc Infinite is definite star material. 'M.I. - I made myself a star... I didn't beg to be one!!'
