The rest of the CD features country blues, Celtic tunes and one of John's originals. The hidden track is a moving rendition of 'My Funny Valentine'. John lives in semi-rural Randolph, New Jersey. The title of the CD, Music from Dismal Brook, comes from the body of water that runs behind his home. This is where he worked out the music on this CD.
