Description

Title: Deutsche Elektronische Musik
Label: Soul Jazz
Product Type: VINYL LP

Limited four vinyl LP pressing. This album is the rarest of Soul Jazz's Deutsche Elektronische Musik series! Out-of print since it's initial release over 8 years ago and not reissued, it features a monster 2 and a half hours of music! Very Limited Edition Super Deluxe Heavyweight Box Collectors' Edition (includes 4 LP + Insert + 2 Art prints + individual inners + download) + excellent extensive sleevenotes (by David Stubbs, writer for Wire/Guardian and author of the definitive 'Krautrock' book) + lots of exclusive photos. This is a one-off pressing of 2,000 copies worldwide. Includes seminal German groups: Can, Faust, Neu, Amon Düül II as well as a host of lesser known groups and artists such as Agitation Free, Bröselmaschine, Niagara and many more! And as well as the original pioneers, Deutsche Electronische Musik 2 also features many of the second wave of German electronic artists and groups from the late 70s and early 80s (DAF, Asmus Tietchens, Rolf Trostel) who successfully connected new wave, minimal synth and a European post-punk avant-gardism with the earlier more established Krautrock pioneers who began at the start of the 70s. Deutsche Elektronische Musik: "A near-definitive guide to some of the world's most extraordinary music." * The Guardia
