Italian producer Lehar follows releases on Connaisseur Recordings with his debut on 2DIY4. Number One Hero (feat. Rush Midnight) is truly emotive, with delicate synth melodies and warm, lush chords adding heartfelt vibes to the punchy drums. The remix by Musumeci, who runs his own Engrave LTD label and gets support from Dixon and Ame among others, is much more stripped back and reworks the track into a broody, rubbery, fulsome house cut. Peter Pardeike (a Cologne-based producer who has often worked with Marcus Worgull) goes just as deep with his remix adding a sense of elegance to the groove with angelic pads.
