'Pick It Up' with The Indie Rockers Fast Romantics This August

Indie-Rock band Fast Romantics have announced that they are bringing us a new album in August 2020. Here at Tower, we're big fans of American Love and  Afterlife Blues and can't wait to check out their new work.

Their new LP Pick It Up is due out August 7th on Postwar Records and features production and mixing by Marcus Paquin (Arcade Fire, The National, Timber Timbre),

Album title track Pick It Up  has been released already with a "quarantine-friendly video" and is "inspired by Angus’ lifelong battle with depression and anxiety". The song, however, is not a downer, but rather a "personal pep talk for the singer".

Another song from the album, Only People  has also be unleashed on the world and explores the nuances of relationships with that timeless question: is it better to have loved and lost than never to have loved?

Fast Romantics is comprised of Matthew Angus (vocals, guitar), Jeffrey Lewis (bass), Kirty (vocals, acoustic guitar, synth), Kevin Black (guitars), Lisa Lorenz (keyboards) and Nick McKinlay (drums).
