Saxophonist and composer Nubya Garcia is releasing her new album, Source, this Friday August 21, 2020 on Concord Jazz. Produced by Garcia in collaboration with Kwes (Bobby Womack, Solange, Nerija), the album has already generated singles Pace and Source

Title track "Source" explores a "multidimensional jazz sound layered with soul, afro-diasporic sounds and hints of dub-step along the way". “Source” also features Ms Maurice, Cassie Kinoshi and Richie Seivwright.

Source is Garcia’s first LP, but she previously self-released the EP When We Are in 2018 and she won the Jazz FM Breakthrough Act of the Year Award and the Sky Arts Breakthrough Act of the Year Award that same year, and took home the Jazz FM UK Jazz Act of the Year Award in 2019.

Garcia is a member of the contemporary septet, Nerija, and has toured extensively internationally, playing venues and festivals across Latin America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and the United States. Garcia is also a DJ and currently helms a radio residency on NTS.
