Christie Simpson Introduces The Alternate Version Of Yumi Zouma's Latest Album On Tower's Live Show

Yumi Zouma released their third studio album Truth or Consequences on March 13, 2020, the same day that the World Health Organization declared the global pandemic, and the same day that their sold-out US tour was cancelled.

The album brought out a lot of interesting developments for the band musically and thematically and delved pretty deeply into human relationships, whether romantic or platonic. Even more globally distanced than usual, in different countries, the members of Yumi Zouma began to work on an Alternate Version of their own album, teasing out sound directions they hadn't previously allowed them to explore.

The result in Truth or Consequences (Alternate Versions), slated for release from Polyvinyl on October 28th. Christie Simpson joined us live from London, hosted by Dani Pinkus, for a pretty in-depth exploration of the original album's sounds and themes, as well as the variations you'll already hear in singles like "Lie Like You Want Me Back".
