YOU'RE MY THRILL was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album. "You're My Thrill" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s).

YOU'RE MY THRILL captures the pianist-singer in a trio setting with long time companions Charles Ables (bass) and Steve Williams (drums). On this outing, Horn recorded the trio first, then gave the tapes to Johnny Mandel who subsequently feathered orchestral arrangements into the mix. As usual, Horn's music is sultry and tender. Focusing on ballads, she takes us on a journey through the often-doleful world of love.

Lyrics revolve around all aspects of amour from first kisses to final good-byes. The trio is relaxed and spare, as each song paints a sleepy image of either hope or heartache. Some have criticized Horn's records as being overly saccharine, but no one could argue that her interpretations of the great American songbook are insincere or cold. In addition to the title track, highlights include the delicately swung "Why Don't You Do Right" featuring Russell Malone on guitar, and the haunting ballad "All Night Long."
