Making a joyful, guitar-ful rumpus that belies their dour name, End of the World are not afraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves, and yet this jangly, dissonant threesome seem too mature to be mistaken for an emo band. Their songs toy with density and spaciousness and convey a lot of excitement in a little sonic area, with ballads like "Sunrise At the Manse" providing a Band-like respite from all the het-up-ness.
