Missourians Ludo blend power pop, emo, and bratty wit to appealing effect. So polished is the band's smart, snarky sound that they were bumped to the majors for their 2007 release YOU'RE AWFUL, I LOVE YOU. The lead-off single, "Love Me Dead," is a pitch-perfect example of Ludo's charms: roiling rock guitars, singalong choruses, and lyrics full of clever, biting wordplay.
