Omaha band Neva Dinova have made a musically dense, emotionally rich album that recalls the finer moments of Okkervil River and, in spots, the Band. Combining sweet minor-key melodies with middle-weight guitar riffs, acoustic strumming, and the occasional slide guitar and violin, the band creates an atmosphere of high-lonesome longing and heart-tugging melancholy.
