The bizarre electronicore duo I Set My Friends on Fire show themselves to be capable of the most throat rending screams one second, and sweet-radio friendly emo choruses the next. They can also shred notes like the toughest metalcore guitarist while simultaneously making subtly textured electronic soundscapes--few bands have been quite so entertainingly schizo. Skittering beats and chiming keys color "ASL" until post-hardcore guitars and those unholy screams crash the party, while "Ravenous Ravenous Rhinos" is pure video game bubblegum spiked with clenched desperation.
