Rivulets: Nathan Amundson (acoustic guitar); Christian Frederickson (viola); Fred Lonberg-Holm (cello); Bob Weston (bass guitar); Chris Brokaw (drums); Jessica Bailiff (bells); Brian John Mitchell (unknown instrument); Liz Zissos (background vocals).

Nathan Amundson's brittle vocals are accompanied by acoustic guitar, delicate strings, and sundry electronics on this exquisitely assembled set of deeply personal songs. While the music is consistently beguiling, Amundson's bleak lyrics burrow into the heart like little icicle daggers. Most of the album is pastorally pretty, but a buzzsaw-like circular guitar line throws its centerpiece, "Happy Ending," into sharp focus, after which the gently caressing guitar and fiddle of "Morning Light" comes as a soothing balm.
