YOGA SANCTUARY includes musical accompaniment and a booklet with 110 instructional photographs.

If you want to take a class with popular yoga teacher and writer Shiva Rea, you could fly to Santa Monica and wait in line with the others…or you could pop this double-CD release in the player and have her all to yourself. In a pleasant California drawl, Rea leads the listener through two complete vinyasa routines. The first, "Solar Practice," is designed to energize, with lots of sun salutations, standing poses, and backward bends. The second, "Lunar Practice," features soothing forward bends, hip openers, a deep relaxation period, and pranayama.

The two-CD set comes with a booklet that clearly illustrates each posture, and suggests alternate programs based on the listener's time limitations and bodily needs. Beautiful original music complements the instructions.
