Quick review: Peter and Gordon were the duo with the guy with bright red hair and glasses who was the brother of Paul McCartney's girlfriend, Jane Asher, and who therefore got first pick of Beatles castoffs like "A World Without Love" and "Woman." Chad and Jeremy were the other ones. Actually, Chad Stuart and Jeremy Clyde's hook was that they came directly out of the folk clubs of London, specializing in folk-tinged acoustic guitar-based soft pop with middle of the road appeal, kind of like Simon and Garfunkel crossed with a dash of Petula Clark.

Because the duo only released a few albums and didn't have much US chart success apart from the lilting "A Summer Song" and the perky "Yesterday's Gone," the several available anthologies all contain pretty much the same material. YESTERDAY'S GONE adds a couple of tracks not available on other compilations, "Four Strong Winds" and "No Tears For Johnny."
