On June 26, 2005, the WWE roared into Las Vegas, Nevada, for its annual VENGEANCE showdown. A jam-packed event featuring some of the fiercest wrestling action around, the year-end roundup included six devastating battles: an intercontinental title match between Carlito and Shelton Benjamin; a women's match between Christy Hemme and Victoria; a thrilling matchup between Kane and Edge; a Wrestlemania XXI rematch between Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle; a triple threat championship match between John Cena, Christian, and Chris Jericho; and the unbelievable main event, a steel-cage world heavyweight championship between the reigning Batista and the undefeated Triple H.
