A mere 20 years old at the time her major label debut, WRECK OF THE DAY, was recorded, Anna Nalick makes a powerful impression. Demonstrating a grasp of songcraft and stylistic certainty that belies her years, Nalick also shows a reflectiveness and sensitivity in her music uncommon for someone her age (or any age, for that matter).

Taking a cue from singer-songwriters like Tori Amos and Fiona Apple, Nalick creates delicate melodies that are perfectly served by her pure, breathy voice. Nalick is not afraid to dip into rock ("In the Rough") or country ("Wreck of the Day"), but it is on the melancholic piano-based gems (like the album's opener and single "Breathe (2 AM)") that she shines brightest.
