The X-Men are down but not out. Enemies of various natures may be striking from all corners of the globe, but, if there’s a team who can thwart them one by one, it’s Wolverine and the gang. As the future of mutant-kind hangs in the balance, the X-men wage battle against the nefarious Shadow King, who’s taken up residence in Storm’s mind. Elsewhere, Nightcrawler is fending of pillaging pirates working for Mojo while Wolverine is forced to team up with Gambit to retrieve an important item from an evil senator and engage in fisticuffs with the Incredible Hulk. Professor X is forced to return an innocent mutant to the hands of a nasty nemesis, The MRD. But, as the X-Men will soon discover, a new and terrifying enemy may be lurking behind the big picture.
