"When Will You Learn" was nominated for the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.

In an effort to cure the cabin fever that begins to afflict most of us as winter wears on, Centaur Entertainment has released WINTER PARTY 1998. The two-CD set, mixed by Julian Marsh, gives us a sunny day at the beach with nothing to do but dance even as the snow piles up outside. Marsh is an able DJ, using the tunes as building blocks for his own vision while still respecting the integrity of the compositions.

Boy George is represented with two tracks: "Love Is Leaving" gets the party started right with a beat and ethereal chorus that will have all toes tapping in no time while "When Will You Learn" is more intense. R&B sensation Martha Wash heats things up with "Carry On," wrapping her soulful voice around a driving beat. The dark horses in this set, however, are reworkings of two classics from another generation. Alison Jiear updates "Aquarius/Let The Sun Shine In" with her gospel-inflected voice set atop a heavily synthesized foundation, and Sylvia Mason-James offers an intriguing reading of the Motown hit "Touch Me In The Morning."
