Album DescriptionWhen fans and collectors gathered to debate the albums that they'd most appreciate seeing on CD, one wonders whether this pair had ever swung into contention. Even among die-hard Osmond fans, Donny & Marie Osmond's fifth and sixth albums rarely get a mention; they were scarcely purchased, either, at the time of release. Winning Combination -- which, by now, the duo was anything but -- reached number 99 on the chart in mid-1978, while later that same year Goin' Coconuts made it to number 98, and that despite being the putative soundtrack to the siblings' first movie. Four of the 12 songs are from the film of the same name, but when the screen gem turkeyed, what hope did the LP have? Combined here as part of the 7Ts label's series of Osbros two-fers, neither album has much to recommend it.
