If you know Ida, you love Ida. If you don't, it's time to get with the program. These guys have as much indie-cred as Jandek and Jad Fair at Gerard Cosloy's backyard barbecue, yet their sound is as smooth and accessible as any granola circuit band. Whether they're singing in two- or three-part harmony, Ida's relaxed and unaffected vocal blend is pure aural pleasure.

While primarily an acoustic guitar/bass/drums outfit, they are not opposed to throwing in a little guitar feedback or tape echo noise into a song, speaking of which Bernie Worrell (Parliament/Funkadelic) is one of the many guest musicians on this disc. WILL YOU FIND ME was originally intended for release on Capitol, and the larger recording budget suits Ida's sound well. More focused and confident than its predecessors, WILL YOU FIND ME is a joy throughout.
