The first volume in Norton Records' three-volume set of rare and unreleased tracks by rockabilly legend Charlie Feathers, WILD SIDE OF LIFE, contains 17 songs plus a six-minute interview with the man himself. Highlights include the weepy country ballad "Wedding Gown of White," a rollicking take on the traditional "Frankie and Johnny," and the minimalist bass-driven shuffle "Cockroach," which features a quirky, half-moaned and all but unintelligible lead vocal. WILD SIDE OF LIFE is available as a digital download, as a standard CD, and as a vinyl LP.
