Post-hardcore outfit Alesana push their blend of screamo, pop-punk, metal, and emo further forward on their second full-length, WHERE MYTH FADES TO LEGEND. Much like their debut, WHERE MYTH is accessible, melodic, and crushingly intense. Twin classic metal guitars, jackhammer rhythms, and alternately sung and screamed vocals are the lynchpins of this bracing excursion into whiplash genre blending. Alesana may be too hard for emo fans, and too melodic for hardcore fans, but those with a taste for both will find WHERE MYTH FADES TO LEGEND fits the bill.
