Liz Story began playing piano at a very early age. Her debut album, SOLID COLORS, established her as a prime mover among solo piano recording artists. This collection gathers material from Liz Story's career, drawing from her many albums on the Windham Hill label. Her music is rife with dense chordal progressions and plaintive passages.

"Reconciliation" is an inward exploration with a subtle triumph. The left and right hand create a fascinating dialogue on the melancholy "Wedding Rain." On "My Foolish Heart," Story is joined by Joel Di Bartolo on acoustic bass as they transform this classic standard. The collection closes with "For Mark, Unwound," newly recorded for this album. Liz Story is an artist of immense talent and WELCOME HOME attests to the breadth of her recording career.
