Almost four full years after the release of Josh Gracin's 2004 self-titled debut, the AMERICAN IDOL alum finally returned with another set of amiable country tunes. While Gracin's boy-next-door charm and Marine-honed determinism are still apparent, the Michigan native shows the influence of his time spent in Nashville, resulting in a more confident album. Highlights of WE WEREN'T CRAZY include the emotive title track, the twangy "Invisible," and the pensive "I Keep Coming Back." Though he may not wear cowboy hats or boast a Southern background, Gracin is an appealing and convincing country singer, a point hit home by the assured performances on CRAZY.
