This sterling set of two-dozen Christmas songs grew out a tradition that the Roches had of performing Christmas music annually in the group's native New York City. The sisters set aside their endearing quirkiness to sing these songs with reverence, but at the same manage to bring their novel arrangement style into play. The Roches' harmonies drift in and out of these compositions with beauty and glee. Spare accompaniment is given to the singing, with a keyboard here, a guitar there, and other little flourishes. A handful of numbers are presented acapella, something that Roches fans have enjoyed since the trio's debut. WE THREE KNGS is a timeless classic.
