Review

Down Beat (p.79) - 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "He's blossomed as a songwriter; 'Feel Like I Ain't Got A Home' stands out as superior blues-rock."
Dirty Linen (p.55) - "[A]n album that will strengthen his legacy....'Going Home,' one of two traditional songs -- the rest are originals -- is one of the best tracks and a poignantly prophetic gospel song..."
Living Blues (p.42) - "'Can't Let Go' and 'Have You No Shame' reveal Costello's growing confidence and sophistication, especially in his soul-inspired vocal work..."

Title Note

Personnel: Sean Costello (vocals, guitar, background vocals); Oliver Wood (guitar); Jon Liebman (harmonica); Rich Lannucci (accordion, organ); Adam Mewherter (sousaphone); Rich Ianucci (organ); Aaron Trubic (bass guitar, percussion, background vocals); Aaron Tubic (bass guitar); Paul Campanella Jr. (drums, percussion); Ray Hangen (drums); Chris Uhler (congas); Northside Men's Choir (background vocals); Donnie MacCormick.

This blues guitar prodigy released his first album at the tender age of 17, and his heavily distorted, fractured playing style recalls that of legendary Chicago axe-men like Otis Rush and Magic Sam. His fifth outing, WE CAN GET TOGETHER, was released shortly before his untimely death in the spring of 2008.

Ok… I friend turned me on to Sean Costello and I am soo glad he did! I am a lover of all music especially blues, since my husband is from Memphis. Man was I surprised! I absolutely love his voice and you can feel the emotion coming through in every track. His voice is smooth on one hand and gritty when it needs to be. My two favorite tracks are Anytime You Want and How in the Devil. The guitar line in how in the Devil is awesome! If you are a blues fan this is definitely an album for you!
