Avant rock outfit Fast `N' Bulbous pay tribute to one of their primary influences on 2009's WAXED OOP by filling the entire album with interpretations of Captain Beefheart tunes. From the tasty slide guitar of "Sure Nuff `N' Yes I Do" to the thumping stomp of "Woe-Is-Uh-Me-Bop," Fast `N' Bulbous highlight the left-field brilliance of the good Captain with a 13-track tribute that maximizes the ensemble's already impressive penchant for blues, jazz, and experimental hijinx.
