Recording information: 1998.

Their first international release brought this Finnish goth band to world attention with its unapologetically guitar-centered sound, which conjured memories of such 1980s predecessors as the Sisters of Mercy, the Mission, and the Cult. Though singer Jyrki 69's vocals follow the classic forbidding goth tradition, the band's sound is surprisingly accessible, and the title track, a tribute to the Doors' Jim Morrison, transcends its churchyard origins as rock & roll for the ages.
