MORE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
Brooklyn native Sedaka began his prolific career as one of the original
creators of the Brill Building sound in the late ‘50s and early ‘60s with
other renowned songwriters such as Neil Diamond, Carole King, and Paul
Simon. His name is synonymous with masterful songwriting and some of
the most indelible hits of the rock ‘n’ roll era. His career grew with
massive cross-format hits including “Oh Carol” and “Calendar Girl” in the
‘60s, through to the Sedaka’s Back/Elton John’s Rocket Records period in
the ‘70s, when Sedaka scored hits with the #1s “Bad Blood” and “Laughter
In The Rain.” Neil also made music history by having the same song
(“Breaking Up Is Hard To Do”) reach #1 on the charts, twice, as performed
by Sedaka himself!
Now the legendary tunesmith has re-imagined his most beloved hits for
kids! Destined to be a family favorite this collection includes the classic
“Breaking Up Is Hard To Do” transformed to “Waking Up is Hard to Do,” the
smash “Calendar Girl” becomes “Dinosaur Pet,” the Connie Francis classic
“Where The Boys Are” is reworked as “Where the Toys Are” and the
Captain and Tennille hit “Love Will Keep Us Together” becomes “Lunch Will
Keep Us Together!”
