Product Notes

Art Clokey's 1950s television show was a landmark in animation and children's programming, paving the way for the claymation revolution as it entertained families with its lovable, somewhat surreal characters and stories. Now past his 50th anniversary, GUMBY retains the enormous appeal that brought the show back by popular demand in the late '80s, after a decade-long hiatus. Somewhat revamped but still with charm to spare, Gumby and his pals Pokey, Prickle, and Goo move to a farm, start a band, and combat the evil Blockheads with their magical books. Volume 1 includes the episodes "Skateboard Rally," "Clayfully Yours," "Goo's Pies," and "Gumbastic," among others.
