Album Review

On their second full length “Una Volta”, DeVotchKa's musical evolution lifts them from regional sensation to kings of the national underground, Named “Best Unsigned Band” by CMJ in 2003, DeVotchKa also topped numerous nationwide college and public radio charts with their unique “Eastern-Bloc Indie Rock” sound. Crafted by violin, double bass, sousaphone, accordion, drums, guitar, and impassioned vocals, “Una Volta's” timeless and geographically schizophrenic sound was produced by Craig Schumacher, (Calexico, Giant Sand, Evan Dando) and features “Queen of the Surface Streets.” Digipak.
