Scrappy, down-to-earth, and tinged with a bit of glam spirit, California's Great White formed in the early 1980s and hit their stride in 1989 with the million-selling ONCE BITTEN..., featuring the Ian Hunter-penned hit "Once Bitten, Twice Shy." The public embraced their bluesy, straightforward approach to hard rock, and the band enjoyed several years of successful recording and touring. Despite these setbacks, Great White soldiered on.
