Title Note

The "United Boys" bop their way through a brace of *NSYNC hits on this mildly amusing tribute album. These guys aren't half the singers *NSYNC are, and the synthesized arrangements sound as canned as they are. But vestiges of the originals' strong songwriting presence does twinge Tribute here and there -- the poppin' and lockin' super hit "Bye Bye Bye," for example, or in the acoustic guitar of "[God Must Have Spent] A Little More Time on You" (not the vocal of the latter, which is butchered here). Ultimately however, Tribute to 'N Sync isn't saved by its fleeting resemblances, leaving its worth to anyone -- even the "United Boys" themselves -- quite suspect. ~ Johnny Loftus
