Title Note

Named after a memoir by journalist Martha Gellhorn about her most disastrous journeys, this taut follow-up to the band's promising debut packs even more smarty-punk wallop than the first. Future of the Left (led by former Mclusky singer Andy Falkous) excels tight rhythms and expansive choruses. Intelligence, gallows humor, and fury abound in their lyrics and the band is not afraid to insert the occasional synth line into their otherwise old-skool punk arrangements, indicating a musical adventurousness only hinted at in their previous band.
