Although V.V. Brown established herself as an artist to watch working with some of the most confectionery hitmakers in the top forty world - writing for Pussycat Dolls, Sugababes, and others - her own music betrayed much darker emotion. While the British diva's songs are firmly rooted in pop, Brown belts them out with a soulful fury laced with an undercurrent of despair, a voice more Billie or Ella than Madonna or Beyonce. Her 2009 debut, TRAVELLING LIKE THE LIGHT, earned her critical lauds from both sides of the Atlantic.
