CMJ (10/18/99, p.22) - "...Boy/girl lead vocals, astoundingly rough time changes and drunken yet still meaningful lyrics make this effort another interesting episode in the band's soap-operatic career."

This low-fi punk-pop band offers some nice moments on this disc, particularly on the ersatz Motown of "Dificient Love" and the straight-ahead punch of "Skinny Wolves," but the lack of finesse in guitarist David Christian's style gets a bit wearing after a while. ~ Tim Sheridan
