Publisher's note

When a star of unusual brightness appears in the heavens, three cats are sent on a momentous quest to fulfill the prophecy, ôThe three shall find the oneö in this feline version of the Three Wise Men story. Original.

An inspiration tale about three cats and their journey to witness the first Christmas.
The old Siamese Ptolemy was alongside his master when a star of unusual brightness was seen in the heavens, indicating an event of momentous significance, and leading to a great quest. Ptolemy must watch over his frail master, so he sends three young cats to journey in his place and fulfill the prophecy: "The three shall find the one."
The three are Abishag, a sturdy reliable cat who has never shirked her duty; Kezia, a beautiful young tabby, delicate, a bit vain, but of good heart; and Ira, taller and stronger than the others, with a temper. Accompanying them is a fourth travelera the rat Asmodeus, who can hear of no glorious thing without wanting to spoil it.
Together, the unlikely band will cover many miles, and have many dangerous adventures. And finally they will come to a far land, where the star bends close to the earth over a humble stable.

5 out of 5 stars A wonderful Christmas story, November 22, 2009
By Ricardo
An inspirational tale about three cats and their journey to witness the first Christmas. This Hardcover book is worth the purchase just for the art work on the cover. (it isnt a paperback) it is a beautiful gift size hard cover. This is a great Christmas Tale. As it tells the story of the Three Wise Men from the perspective of three cats as they join the real Magi in their search for the Christ child. My little girl loves the story and in particular Ira the little warrior. But dont miss interpret this to mean this is a childrens book. This is an adult book written to be read and shared as a tradition with the family at Christmas. It tells the story of the three wise men with a feline twist as the Three Wise Cats hitch a ride with the magi in the search for the Christ child. It is historically and geographically correct. And the authors really do understand cats. We could actually see our Artemus (a Snowshoe) being one of these cats. He does some of the exact things Ira did in the book. A joy to read.
