Title Note

DJ/Producer Miguel Migs is an anomaly in the world of house-oriented electronica in that his productions not only get the dancefloor moving, but stand up as songs as well. Migs's 2007 release, THOSE THINGS, was a case in point, and 2008's remix project of the tracks on that album only heightens both the song-ness and the danceability of the tunes. With roots as much in disco and funk as in club music, THOSE THINGS REMIXED grooves like nothing else, lending an appealing organic feel (the presence of live instrumentation snaps and sparkles) to a genre too often dominated by the cold computer. Migs has brought in other remixers in to interpret his tracks, while adding his own remixes to the list as well.
