Review

Spin (p.85) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "[The] album has a relaxed, even-keeled feel, even though it was written while he shuttled between India and America dealing with personal upheavals."
Alternative Press (p.136) - 4.5 stars out of 5 -- "THIS TOO is heavy but not sterile. It isn't all doom and gloom....Some sunshine peeks through by way of some triumphant trumpet and the sometimes-redemptive lyrics."
CMJ (p.41) - "Hirway eschews the big beats of albums past in favor of a symphonic, Galaxie 500-ish aesthetic that matches perfectly with his sensitive, reedy, Dean Wareham whisper of a voice."

Title Note

Composer: The One AM Radio.

The One AM Radio (aka Hrishikesh Hirway + collaborators) returns with their 3rd proper LP, and the sound is a continuation of what weve come to expect from the lo-fi outfit: dreamy soundscapes punctuated by the occasional crescendo, all complimented by Hiways poignant lyrics and soothing singing voice. I listen to this album selectively: on a plane or busy subway, riding my bike in the country, walking through the hectic downtown during rush hour.. notice a trend? definitive headphone music - while it sounds great at home as you make dinner, the true beauty of The One AM Radio is in its personal nature.. always giving you content to call you own. Standout tracks include You Can Still Run, Our Fall Apart, and The Echoing Airports
