BMG Special Products' reissue of 1968's These Eyes and More: The Best of the Guess Who collects ten of the group's most beloved hits. While every track is good, the omission of standout cuts like "Hand Me Down World," "Bus Rider," "Albert Flasher," and "Hang on to Your Life" keeps it from achieving anything substantial. Listeners would be better off picking up RCA's excellent reissue of The Best of the Guess Who, which includes three bonus tracks. ~ James Christopher Monger

The Guess Who have been the subject of many greatest-hits compilations over the years. These Eyes only contains eight tracks but is available as an inexpensive first purchase. While the original versions of such hits as "American Woman" and "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature" are included, it unfortunately excludes a few essentials, at the very least: "Laughing," "Albert Flasher," and "No Time." For a more thorough trip through the Guess Who's hits, pick up the expanded edition of Greatest Hits (1999) on RCA. ~ Al Campbell
