For THERE WILL BE BLOOD, Paul Thomas Anderson's film adaptation of Upton Sinclair's novel, OIL!, the writer/director enlisted Radiohead multi-instrumentalist Jonny Greenwood to compose the movie's score. Straying far from Radiohead's alternative-rock sound, BLOOD is performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra, allowing Greenwood to conjure up an elegant and emotive vintage Hollywood atmosphere on the swooning "Open Spaces" and the tense title track, among others.
