Title Note

Composer: Finger Eleven.

Finger Eleven: Scott Anderson (vocals); Rick Jackett, James Black (guitar); Sean Anderson (bass guitar); Rich Beddoe (drums).

On its fourth studio album, 2007's THEM VS YOU VS ME, Finger Eleven focuses on melody, songcraft, and eclecticism more than ever before. While past outings showcased the Canadian group's competent heavy-rock chops, this transitional album finds the ensemble stretching out somewhat stylistically, as is immediately apparent on the funky opener, "Paralyzer."

5 out of 5 stars A little different but still great., October 31, 2007
By CKCSM
Finger Elevens forth album (If you dont count the one album they did as Rainbow Butt Monkeys) is a little different from their previous albums, and most die hard Finger Eleven fans will be surprised by how the band has grown. The constant sharp and sometimes over powering guitar riffs from previous albums have smoothed out, leaving more room for Scott Andersons vocals to come through. Dont let that fool you because the guitar genius of both Rick Jackett and James Black is not lost on this album, with songs like "Talking To The Walls" and "Falling On" to leave you wondering how a guitar can make that noise. As always Scott Andersons brother Sean Anderson is providing sold and sometimes very heavy bass tones in the back, making it seem as if all three guitars on the album are acting as one. For the final touch to this great band the drum work by Rich Beddoe is once again nothing short of wonderful, but extremely powerful bordering on psychotic at times. Just watch the music video for "Paralyzer" and "Falling on" you can see why this group is still going strong, when many others only get to make one album. 5 Stars, get it you wont be disappointed.
