Synopsis

This unique collection features three documentaries by filmmaker John Cohen, each exploring American music.
"The High Lonesome Sound" focuses on the life and music of Kentucky vocalist-guitarist Roscoe Lee Holcomb. "The End of an Old Song" tells the story of one of the world's great ballad singers -- Dillard Chandler. Finally, "Sara and Maybelle" concentrates on the reunion of two members of the famous Carter clan.
