His visceral playing and emotive vocals put him at the top of the blues heap in the 1960s, and this compilation from the French label Music Avenue gathers some of Freddie King's best tracks from the 1960s and '70s. Present here are King's influential instrumental "Hideaway" and the blistering "Have You Ever Loved a Woman."
