TAKING CHANCE is an HBO Films drama based on the true story of Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, a marine who volunteers to escort the body of a 19-year-old soldier, who was killed in Iraq, back to his family in Wyoming. Dubbed the tear-jerker of 2009, the film's score is composed by Marcelo Zarvos (THE GOOD SHEPHERD, HOLLYWOODLAND). Gripping, earthy string arrangements ebb and flow as the story unfolds. The directorial debut of LOST IN TRANSLATION producer Ross Katz, TAKING CHANCE discusses notions of patriotism as well as more intimate, familial concerns. Zarvos's intelligent and heart-wrenching score seamlessly drives the film's spirit home.
