Title Note

On his fourth studio album, erstwhile Marvelous 3 leader, producer to the stars, and (most importantly) singer/songwriter Butch Walker strikes the perfect balance between power-pop, classic rock, and Americana. The songs burst with hooks that feel like they've been lodged in your ears for your entire life, suggesting an alternate universe in which Tom Petty, the Wallflowers, and Ryan Adams were all somehow conflated into a single sonic entity. While Walker may be the producer behind such sleek pop/rock artists as Avril Lavigne, Pink, and Katy Perry, SYCAMORE MEADOWS is full of earthy, organic sounds that bespeak a lifetime immersed in rootsy sounds and simple, honest musical values.
